Constitution Gathering 2 – Rescheduled

In-Person

Join us for good food, drumming and singing, and help make Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw history! Constitution Gathering 2 is an opportunity to imagine a better future for yourself, your family, and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People for generations to come.

The in-person gathering will be held at Totem Hall and Chief Joe Mathias Centre. Lunch will be served at 12:00pm and the meeting will start at 12:45pm. We’re still planning the details, but we will likely talk about:

  • What are your responsibilities as a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Person today and to our future descendants?
  • What makes a person Sḵwx̱wú7mesh?
  • What are your rights as a Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Person?

By joining us and sharing your thoughts, you can help make sure our Constitution truly represents our Nation and our people. Your ideas will be used to help set down S7ulh kwis Úxwumixw (Our Way of Being a Nation).

Please RSVP so we can make sure there’s enough food for everyone. All Sḵwx̱wú7mesh People are welcome, but signing up helps us plan for food and seating.

We’re so excited to work with you on this historic project. Sign up now!

Wellness support will be provided at both in-person locations for those who want it. Child-minding (ages 5+) and transportation will be provided for anyone who needs it.
